F.A.Q. - Student Management
Back to F.A.Q. HomeQ: What happens when I deactivate a student?
A: When you deactivate a student he will no longer appear in your schedule. For example, if a student is not taking lessons over summer vacation you can deactivate him rather than deleting him. When the student returns for lessons in the Fall just reactivate him and all his information will be intact.
Q: If I deactivate a student can he still login?
A: YES
Q: How do I deactivate a student?
A: In the teacher area go to "Student Info" and select "Profile and Assignments" for the student you wish to deactivate. Under the student's picture it should say ACTIVE. Click the "deactivate" link under that. You will be prompted to confirm the student deactivation. Click "Deactivate" and the student will be hidden from the schedule and the "Student Info" sections.
Q: How do I reactivate a student?
A: In the teacher area go to "Student Info". In the top right corner click the "+ Show Inactive Students" link. The page will refresh and include both active and inactive students.
Q: Can I change a student's username?
A: PowerBach does not currently allow the changing of student usernames. If you encounter a special circumstance where you need a student's username changed, contact us at support@powerbach.com for help.
Q: Can I change a student's password?
A: Yes. Both the teacher and the student are able to change a student password.
Q: My student lost his password. How can I find it?
A: In the teacher area go to "Student Info" and select "Profile and Assignments" for that student who lost his password. Click "Show Password" and a window will pop up revealing the student's password. The window will automatically close after 10 seconds for security.
